Working of a gas BB gun

All the Gas powered air guns used in recreational sports including the gas BB gun has a system that fires a projectile using the force of compressed gas. The short burst creating propulsion is totally controlled by the valves present in most gas BB guns. The pressure valve which gets struck by the hammer is the most important and is shut by a tension spring maintain the seal until the strike of the hammer.
